Our Story

At GreenLoop Foundation, we’re reimagining Africa’s relationship with food to build a sustainable, equitable, and food-secure future. What started as a grassroots initiative has grown into a movement empowering communities through innovation, entrepreneurship, and environmental conservation.

With nearly 60% of the world’s arable land in Africa, yet millions facing food insecurity, we knew change had to start from within. We equip young people with skills and opportunities in agrifood systems, transforming food security challenges into economic growth and innovation.

Our impact spans research, entrepreneurship, policy, and local engagement—connecting growers, consumers, and suppliers to drive real change. Through collaboration and bold ideas, we’re shaping a food system where everyone thrives.

Our History

Founded in 2021, Greenloop Foundation is dedicated to driving sustainable, community-led change across Africa. Through strong leadership and strategic partnerships, the foundation has expanded its impact across Kenya and beyond. From large-scale clean-up initiatives to innovative agrifood projects, Greenloop is committed to creating practical, inclusive, and forward-thinking solutions that improve lives and protect the environment
